Napoleon was not vegan. But for Joaquin Phoenix, lead actor in Ridley Scott's epic drama "Napoleon", the wool felt commonly used for Napoleon's famous bicorn hats was out of the question. Read why here in the New York Times:

Guess who provided the unusual but obvious material for the movie? We feel so sorry, but are not allowed to spread the word. But you can rest assured that we know the supplier inside and out. By the way, it works at least as well in furniture and interior design, since 25 years. And it is even popular among carnivores.
